Allen Ghareeb is a second year medical student at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, IL. He received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Religious Studies and a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry from Bradley University.  He spent time in Copenhagen, Denmark enrolled in a Medical Practice and Policy Program, working alongside the World Health Organization and United Nations Population Fund on assessing health systems and social determinants of health in a global context. His interests in medicine are centered on prevention, promotion, and education.  He is currently involved in research projects in the departments of Medical Education, Population Health, and Community Outreach.
